Món thịt kho dưa chua vô cùng đơn giản nhưng lại rất tốn cơm đấy. Vị chua ngọt của gia vị hòa quyện trong miếng thịt sẽ tạo cảm giác rất ngon miệng khi ăn.
Thịt rửa sạch, ngâm với nước muối loãng khoảng 15 phút rồi vớt ra để ráo nước, thái miếng vuông. Dưa chua có thể rửa qua nước cho bớt vị mặn và chua rồi để ráo nước.
Cho thịt, hành củ băm nhỏ chút gia vị gồm 2 thìa nước tương, 1 thìa nước mắm, 1 thìa đường, đảo đều rồi đặt lên bếp. Để nồi thịt sôi thì cho nước vào xâm xấp mặt thịt, đun sôi trở lại rồi văn nhỏ lửa cho thịt chín mềm.
Khi thịt đã chín mềm, nồi gần cạn nước thì cho dưa vào đảo đều rồi để sôi thêm 3 phút nữa, nêm nếm lại gia vị, rắc hành hoa, ớt thái nhỏ vào nồi rồi tắt bếp.
