plenty of information about understanding the narcissist and the abuser
This book was designed to give you a full portrait of who the emotional abuser and narcissist are as people, understanding exactly how cruel and insidious they can be, as well as how to recover yourself. As you read through this book, it provided u with several reminders that abuse is never your own fault. When you are abused, someone else has made the choice to hurt you, and that does not reflect on who you are as a person. Within this book, You were guided through how to identify whether you have been abused in the past, how to identify the abuser, and how to begin to heal. You were walked through the kinds of abuse that are common with narcissists, as well as how you can fight back.
Amazing look into the psyche
This book looks at a person' emotional intelligence. Specifically, the author examines social skills and ability to communitcate. What I liked about this book was that thw author showed where these skills can be used in real life. For example, when discussing needing to be aware of body language, the author looks at politicians and how we the viewer can interpret their facial and body movements to tell us what they really mean. Also, when looking at persuasion, the author examines how parents can use some of these "dark psychology" skills ro help communicate better with their kids. Overall, I thought this book had some really great insights.

Only purchase if you have very little knowledge on any topic covered. The NLP section is a joke.
Highly recommended insight to the mind
This book is designed with a very thorough explanation and insight into the mind of a narcissist, as well as victims and others who have had to deal with a manipulator before. I always find the subject of dark psychology to be super interesting and really enjoy learning about different imbalances in the brain that can cause these types of psychological issues. I also found it helpful that there are some CBT exercises at the end of the collection that can help those who have dealt with issues of this matter before in learning healthy coping mechanisms for future use.

A writer is only able to be thankful when the author is able to decorate a book very beautifully. Every page of the book impressed me. This book contains a lot of information that will actually help you a lot. highly recommended this book for everyone.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
This book is the biggest scam I have seen in psychology. Not only is the writing quality less than that of a middle schooler with a large vocabulary, the book barely gives information on any of the topics besides learning how you yourself think in the first chapter. Having just graduated high school and passing AP Psychology with a substantially good grade. I can say that this book is hugely mistaken as a good source. The name Benedict Goleman barely even pops up online and is not even a credible source. In fact the name Goleman comes from famous psychologists who lived in the early 1900s! I read about three sections in thinking the later parts of the book would redeem itself, it did not. If you are looking to learn about human nature, then you are much better off reading a psychology textbook or forums online. This book is full of vague information with very little truth behind it, generalizing everything to a few small key points. Please, do not buy this book. It will teach you little to nothing if you already know anything about psychology. Thanks for reading all the way through :)
