what i think bothers people about fifa is the fact that it represents EA:s (and alot of AAA in generel) bad practises. The game is more or less a slot maschine nowdays and is relesead every year when it could easily just be uppdated every year to compensate for the seasons and just have a graphics update ever 5 year or so.

That's really silly. Hate them for being a bad company, not for the bad things they do? .... what?? They are a bad company BECAUSE of the bad things they do. You can like your Fifa all you want but the fact of the matter is their release one yearly because suckers willingly pay full price yearly when the changes between each version can impossibly warrant the price tag every year. Every 2-3 years yeah maybe, but every year is just silly. They could easily remedy this by giving discounts to people who own previous version, but they don't. And even IF they actually made a completely new game from the ground up every year (they don't) that differs enough from ALL previous versions, well then Fifa is still just a vehicle for gambling lootbox microtransactions, which are the main reason why EA is a bad company.

They are FUCKING over those players who buy into FIFA. they sell them bullshit every year with MTX that doesn't move on to the next game. so you have to re-invest in the same shit over and over again. thats exploitation so they are not really bringing joy. they are preying on said love of people for the sport to make as much money as possible while delievering as less game as possible. fifa's improvement over the years was mostly graphical and in the MTX department. the rest is fairly damn stale.

They Leach off of kids with rated E games by putting crazy amounts of monetization and loot boxes. Yes loot boxes are gambling. Why do you think they are fighting loot boxes so hard with every government body that questions them. They make so much money from gambling in their games that if those games had a mature rating their revenue would go down exponentially. They fucking tried to sell off Loot boxes as fucking "surprise mechanics"to the British parliament. And it's not just EA who are doing this many other companies are. But EA is certainly the one who paves the road for monetization in a game you have already paid full fucking price for. Selling unfinished, barley any content pieces of shit for a full price and then selling parts of the game that were already supposed to be in there, later on for more money. So yeah FUCK THEM. also these are just very few examples. Activison Blizzard, Epic Games, Bethesda, Ubisoft and fucking more are doing very similar things.
